Predators Make Each Other Uneasy

On the YouTube channel, I did a video called 'Narcissists Hate Cats.'  I make this assertion because overall and in general, they do.  I have learned through viewer comments, however, that lots of narcissists own cats, a fact I simply find fascinating!

One viewer made a very interesting comment today, and it got me thinking.   He said:

"Cats have narc radar.  Cats are predators....complex."

Indeed it is!  What makes another predator uncomfortable in the wild?  Only another predator! Predators are not made uncomfortable by prey.

So if a cat finds something off-putting about a person, it probably means something.  This is why most narcissists hate them; they can sense that the cat knows what's up.  Game recognizes game, right?

  1. Right on! Problem with my 2 cats (or any pet, or animal in general), problem with me! I am more of a cat person due to my work schedule, but I would never say "I hate dogs"... Narcs don't like cats because cats don't kiss their butts like dogs do, and aren't so needy! 😂

  2. Got into a huge argument with my narc about a baby bunny that was "gotten" by his dog but not dead yet… making fun of me for trying to take care of the dying baby bunny… I understand the circle of life… But don't show me a dying baby bunny and expect me not to do anything about it... Part of what makes me prey too, I guess... Caring for the little guy

  3. OMG so true! I'm new to this site and very glad to have found it. Two major narcs in my life - one a biological relative, the other through a family marriage. The latter has a visceral hatred for cats, like it was so bizarre (and obviously a red flag). He was this grown man having this over the top reaction to the cat. While the biological relative narc took ended up with the family cat and once she was left alone with the cat over an extended period of time, the poor thing's health deteriorated drastically! It was my childhood cat that we had to leave with this relative and anytime we came to visit it was clear she was being willfully neglectful. He was a house cat in relatively good health when we all were living under same roof and taking care of him, but under her care he developed these strange lumps on his body that she never bothered to have him checked out for. It really seemed like she was doing just enough to not kill him but was waiting for him to die. Cats know these things and his demeanor went from that of a mellow house cat to a skiddish and nervous street cat. My mother finally arranged for someone else to have the cat, thank goodness. Narcs manage to suck the life force out of anything.

  4. Okay, I have to comment on this. I love all animals. I was originally a dog person in my earlier years, but one day I went to the shelter looking for a dog, and ended up with the sweetest cat on earth. She essentially "picked" me.
Fast forward. I start dating this abusive Narc. Seriously abusive. Like physically abusive and verbally abusive. My cat still was OK around him, through trust of me I'm guessing. She was perched in the loaf position one night in our bedroom while we were sleeping. She was starting to go to sleep too. Out of NOWHERE, my narc got up, picked her up and threw her against the window. I can't even type this without tears trying to come out. She literally had done nothing. Not a thing.
Later on, he revealed that he hated my cat because "I paid her more attention than him." Impossible. I worked a full-time job and we let her roam outside because we had a backyard and there were other neighborhood cats that she played with. So she wasn't even fully in the house all the time. What a sick bastard. I hate his guts. I hope he ends up homeless and stray cats feast on his body. I hope in the afterlife cats haunt and taunt him.
My poor baby. Luckily, I have gotten rid of the parasite and I'm continuing to heal along with my kitty. She has forgiven me and I thank God everyday she doesn't hate me for putting her in that situation and I thank God for giving her to me because in essence she has saved my life.
